Truly a classy lady and together a wonderful couple. My deepest sympathies to those left behind to mourn the loss. As we reflect on the loss of these two, I hope we can learn how to persevere through the hard times and remain committed to each other. May they find peace together - we are all diminished by this loss...

My thoughts and prayers are with the Winters Family on this day. I was fortunate to meet Mrs. Winters at the Majors Memorial. She seemed to be a very sweet lady.

May she rest in peace!

:salute:

Very Respectfully,

Two Stunning Leaders,Both Having Served In Drastically Different Circumstances,Difficulties And Theaters Of Operations....The Major,An E.T.O. Vet Along With Training For Korea,And Miss Ethel,U.S.A Vet That Included:Good Daughter,College Graduate,Wife,Soulmate,Mother,Grandmother,Business Partner & Confidant To The Major,Assistant To Those Less Fortunate Than Her,And,Last But Not Least,A Most Likely Hero To Those Much Smaller Than Her,Decorated For Her Actions As A Boo-Boo Checker,Healer And An All Around Warmth To Have Near To You If You Were Scared.....I know I've missed alot, but then I've never met either Individuals that formed this "Power Couple" that showed the way forward to others simply by their actions. So ends this mighty chapter of the Winters' Family Operations in this Lifetime. When The Major was standing at the end of the "Day Of Days-6June1944",asking God to let him survive all that lay ahead of him, little did he know that for sure,Miss Ethel and that Farm would be at the end of his trial in Europe. Thank You,Miss Ethel, for being the humble catalyst for so many of the Major's Life Dreams.......I've always said that Mothers Day should be year round..To all those attached to The Major and Miss Ethel's Company,I Salute You....Rest assured, you are thought of by those you have never met,and you are all wished Great Peace at a time of such hard loss....."Hang Tough"

I'm so sad to hear of Mrs. Winters' passing. She has often been in my thoughts, especially since Mr. Winters' passing. I often wondered how she was coping. She seemed to be so very kind-hearted a person, and very devoted to her husband. I shall always remember their kindness to me. As always, God's love to them. Now they are all together.

Rest in peace Mrs. Winters from the soldiers of the 542nd Force Provider out of Erie, PA. We were a band of cousins who were inspired by your husband's unit.
