Last Chance To Buy Old Glory Stories

Postby ckingseed on 18 Dec 2008 21:24

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Just a quick note to inform you that the Naval Institute Press is discontinuing the publication of Old Stories Stories on December 31. For those of you who have already purchased the book, I thank you and I hope that the chapters on Major Winters and the other soldiers of D-Day made the book worth your time and effort to obtain a copy.

Anyone out there who hasn't read this yet I definitely recommend it. Very interesting and insightful.

Also I will never forget buying this book. My girlfriend went to book store to buy a couple of books for me. My list consisted of Old Glory Stories and Kurt Vonneguts last book Man without a country. Apparently the clerk at the bookstore thought that my girlfriend had made some sort of mistake as no one could possibly interested in both these titles together. :tinhat1

To anyone interested in obtaining a copy of Old Glory Stories,

I have a number of copies of Old Glory Stories on hand. If anyone would like an autographed copy, you can have it for $25 plus postage, which is the rate that I paid for the books.

I just finished the book! Great stories. Ofcourse I started with the part about the major, but I must say it was very interesting to read the other stories.
Thanks Cole.

Glad you enjoyed the stories. I visited Major Winters yesterday and we talked about Old Glory Stories. He has copy #1 of that book as well. I'm glad to report he is still doing well.
