For Major Winters and the rest of the 101st:
My Father, as well as all of my Uncles. on both sides of my family served in WW II. My Uncle Jess Mueller, (note the last name is German) Landed on Omaha beach, he was a tank driver, on D-Day. I want to thank those men who cleared the way, and made the whole operation successful. Jess was a hell of a guy, He stood at 6' 5", and had a presence about him. He made it through some of the worst fighting in the War, and was awarded several medals. My Father served in the Alleutian (spelling is probably wrong) Islands. He didn't talk much about the war, all he ever told us was the ride there on the ship was really horrible for some of the Men, who had seasickness. And he always remembered his Serial number ( I guess on his gun). They don't make men like Dick, and my Dad and Uncle Jess anymore. Anyone who served in WW II are heroes and I owe the life of freedom that I enjoy today to them, we all do. I could not imagine what it would have been like to even be alive during that time. It was crazy.
Just as the Nuts's & The Japs were tried for their war crimes, so should anyone one who commits these crimes be tried. No matter who they are. Now is not the time to forget, it is essential that we remember, we are the good guys, the liberators.
