Thanks for the Inspiration

Postby John McBride on Mon Jan 12, 2009 5:25 pm

My Beautiful wife Cathy & son Seán Patrick, bought me the Band of Brothers DVD collection for Christmas.

I had already read the book & looked forward greatly to watching the series. Sure enough, I was not to be disappointed. The 3 of us spent 2 nights around the Television watching the whole series. There was laughter, tears, but most importantly of all, great enjoyment & inspiration found.

Easy Company were truly incredible & Major Winters, apart from being a great leader & a great man, is a true inspiration.

Yours Sincerely & Respectfully,

Hi John.
See you have been touched by many of the emotions that most here in this forum have previously experienced. Few who watch it come away unaffected. The story and experiences of the Major and E-Company are probably even more poignant today than they ever were. Remarkable stories that never fair to inspire and astound.
Read further and acquaint yourself with the group of brothers and sisters in this forum. There is much to read and learn.

By the way welcome, the fact you are from Cavan will not be held against you. Why we even have an esteemed individual from "Dundawlk" among our gentry - but we best not mention him. Right P - :tinhat29
