Hi my name is Jessica Kunert
I'm originally from Chesterfield, Michigan along the outskirts of Detroit. But I currently live in Towanda, Pennsylvania in the North Eastern part due to the fact that my husband is a recruiter in the area. I'm 23 years old, and just graduated from Elmira College (New York) and have my Bachelor's Degree in Arts my major was History. I love World War II, and I work at the Wings of Eagles Discovery Center Museum in Horseheads, New York. I am Director of Docents there ("Docent" being a fancy word for "Tour Guide"). I've known my Husband since High School and has watched him all throughout his military career thus far. I am a PROUD Marine Wife. I know my aviation history as well as WWII/Holocaust History. I want to be a teacher so that I can still carry on the torch to teach anyone who has a curiosity of WWII. I will be going back to school to get my Masters in History, and maybe someday, if I'm crazy enough, to get my Doctorates degree. I'm very excited to be apart of this site!

Hi Jess ! You can be forgiven from being out of state, since you are now there in God's country! While I live in New Jersey, my heart has always been in PA as hubby and I hail from Schulykill County, down in the "region". But we can't move back because the beloved grandkids are here in NJ. Anyway, glad you have joined us and enjoy what should be a beautiful leaf peeping season up there in the mountains.

Welcome to the forum, Jessica. I thank BOTH you and your husband for your service. My wife and I were married while we were both in the Army, and while I was redeployed to Vietnam. I know firsthand the commitment and sacrifice that must be made by the spouses of our military people.
