Regretfully, this is a wonderful idea spoilt by red tape.

If you check the Walter Reed web site, they say they will not accept any letters or parcels addressed to either a US SOLIDER or RECOVERING SOLIDER on the grounds of safety.

It would be better to send something to one of the charities that pass parcels on.
