I want to take a moment of my time to HONOR the MEN and WOMEN WHO MADE D-DAY POSSIBLE. Your commitment to duty in service of your Country made this Day of Days possible. From the workers on the Home Front who made the tools of War, to the Soldiers who ran up the Beaches. Your efforts changed the course of History not just of this Nation but of every man, woman and child of the Twentieth Century AND of every Human Being who will ever live! To you Men who made the attacks from ship and plane. To every pilot, seaman and submariner. Your sacrifice is no less than those who stormed the beaches or descended from the air. THANK YOU! To the Men of EASY COMPANY. Those who lived through the Day of Days. You are Heroes of the Moment. You lived on to fight and die in Battles all across Europe in order to achieve the Victory that was so hard fought to gain. To the Men who fell that day, you are the Heroes of Eternity! We weep over your loss, we grieve with your families, with your brothers-in-arms and with the Liberated. Your SACRIFICE WILL LIVE ON FOREVER! WE CANNOT THANK YOU ENOUGH! You belong to the AGES. To those of EASY who remain. This is your day. You have embraced it as we who HONOR you embrace YOU. Soon you too will become Heroes of the AGES. Your Sacrifice, your love for your fellow man, for your fallen comrades will live on through Eternity. Words cannot fully express the gratitude that we who live after that fateful day feel toward you. You live on in our hearts and we will do all that we can to see that your Heroism will not be forgotten. LONG LIVE EASY CO. LONG LIVE THE 101st.!
