Postby Linda on 20 Feb 2008 06:53

Too long since we've talked about cycling...

So what do I hear? OUR Belgian Tommeken Boonen is busy conquering the Ustated Nites...erm...United States???

He won the 2nd stage in the Tour of California yesterday...well be prepared 'cause he 's going to win more :tinhat11

And Thor Hushovd has also won his first stage of the year in the Tour de Mediteranian (or something :tinhat27 ). And our new Norwegian star Edvald Boason Hagen did impress on the time trail stage in his pro debut in the tour of california! The season looks bright ;)

Remind you that Tom already won the Tour of Qatar earlier this month, where he won 3 of the 6 stages! :tinhat28

I don't like Tom Boonen. Saw him in our city some time ago. I was walking right in his direction and he was already smiling and I saw his lips move ready to say something. Guess he expected I was a fan but to his surprise I just walked by him. hahahaha.

Aaah Ron, you're such a typical Belgian...spit on everything that's ours..don't like Tom Boonen, don't like the Clouseaukes...next you're gonna tell me you don't like fries with mayonaise either???? :tinhat2
Take example at Andreas who defends his fellow countryman Thor Husvod ...although I know he's so wrong :tinhat28

Hope i get to see them! But I am too busy these days...

But I did see that our new Norwegian talent, Edvald Boason Hagen did win the time trail in Criterium International. He did beat riders such as Zabriskie and Gustav Larsson.

The next races he will be taking part in will be Hel van het Mergelland i Nederland 5. april, Liege - Bastogne - Liege (19. april), Amstelrittet (Protour, 20. april) and Fleche Wallonne (23. april).

In addition, Kurt Asle Arvesen won the E3 Harelbeke! And Thor Hushovd is said to be in good shape!

I like Tom Boonene in spite of those who don not like him. And I like french fries with mayonaise with a bottle of Belgian beer too.
A superb victory for Tom Boonen yesterday in the 2008 issue of the Paris-Roubaix race. :tinhat37
