The Crown

Postby ambulnick on Thu Sep 04, 2008 9:27 am

In the past we've had such places as the "The Black Swan" (Barry's local), "The Blue Boar", and various other drinking establishments where members could relax and enjoy a friendly drink. In that finest tradition, it is with great pleasure that I get to announce the opening of "The Crown".

Relax, put your feet up (just not on our furniture, or we'll send the tanks in) and enjoy yourself. Feel free to talk about everything and anything.

Oh, and the first round is on me!

Cheers! :drinkers:

First customer I suppose? Oh jolly! For me a pint of lager please! Cheers.

But not too much beer for me today. I'm with the black Saab convertable which is parked outside :tinhat29

Do have a few Ron...I'll gladly drive you home in that black Saab :tinhat28 :tinhat12

As it's 4 pm here, I feel more like an afternoon coffee with a "bastogne" cookie please :coffee2:

Oh and by the way...great new place! :tinhat34

Looks charming but is there space for me to park my Sherman? If not, someone will have to bring a bit of liquid refreshment out to me!

Excellent Nick! But now I have another concern. What if some of our members consume too much, exit the establishment and instead of taking a sharp left, go straight and land in that pond. Perhaps we need an OP out there just to be on the safe side. (I'm not volunteering, I will be inside. Age does have some privilege you know.)

Right then, volunteers to man an OP?!

I'll be keeping Connie company - got to make sure that she doesn't get up to no-good! :tinhat18

Nick !!! I am a well behaved drinker; don't really consume too much, but someone has to feed me after the second beer. How is the chow in the new joint?

Well, then I'll have whatever they had....as long as I don't have to cook it myself I'll eat almost anything.

Well I can cook.... I just don't like it. I keep reminding hubby, most of the best known chefs are men. Anyway, what's on the menu at The Crown?
