Ladies and Gentlemen,

Just a quick note to inform you that the paperback edition of Beyond Band of Brothers will be released on May 6. As always, Major Winters and I appreciate your generous support over the years. I am returning to Brecourt Manor this afternoon and will visit the Major Winters next week when I return to the United States.

Major Winters

Postby ckingseed on 03 May 2008 06:26

Ladies and Gentlemen,

I'm pleased to announce that I presented Major and Mrs. Winters with the first two copies of the paperback edition of his memoirs during my visit yesterday. The edition contains a new foreword personally written by Major Winters. He hopes that you enjoy it and thanks you again for all the support.

Thank you for the updates :tinhat1
So is this new foreword very different from the first one the Major wrote, Cole?

It is a little different as it takes into account his astonishment at the commercial success of his memoirs. He wrote it about six months after BBB made its sixth appearance on the New York Times bestseller list. I thought it captured the essence of who Major Winters is.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Just a note to let you know that the publisher informed me that the first printing of Major Winters's memoirs was 70,000 copies. According to the publisher, it is selling well. We can expect to see good sales over the anniversary of D-Day and the upcoming Father's Day weekend. I passed the numbers on to Major Winters this afternoon and he is incredibly pleased. As always he and Mrs. Winters thank you for your continued support.

I just picked up my copy of the paperback edition. I'm only a small way in but it is fantastic. It is amazing how leadership skills applied in combat are applicable to my job as a supervisor of a 911 center. I was very happy that my pre-existing philosophy on management matched the Major's in many ways. There is always more to learn though!

You will probably really enjoy the last several chapters.

Good luck with your work. . . a difficult and demanding position.
