Need info E_cie members that died during Market Garden

Postby tigerhead on 21 Nov 2009 11:39

I am making a booklet for me and my mom (65 years old) with a walking trail of the first 4 days of Easy Cie at Market Garden. At the end of the booklet I want to honor those who are died from Easy Cie during Market Garden.

At this moment I have the following information, but I am still missing some pieces. The blue parts are still missing. Hopefully someone can give me some extra information. Whenever I forgot someone, please mention it and give me atleast a bit information, so I won't be fooling around.

Danny,
You are probably not going to find much success asking for info like this. Those that know the information you are requesting are very guarded about giving it out. In the past individuals have taken such information and used it for personal gain. For many of us who are close to these men, this is unacceptable.

Your intentions may be true but the lack of assistance you are running into is unfortunately a result of others poor conduct. I will say this, some of the info you are looking for is well-known and documented on the internet. If the project means that much to you, keep going on your own.
Good luck,
Mooch

Yes, you should certainly research the books (which may be available in libraries) and the Internet.

We do not have people available to do the research work for students and others, particularly if the information is already in the literature.

Thanks for the reply's,

Sadly the information that I am looking for is not in any of the easy books (or I might read over it). I've got them all here, except the book from Genesis Publications. Since I am 36 years old and have a steady job, I am able to buy those books.

At a reaction oof Mooch: It's a pity that some people misbehave and have wrong intension. So I can understand the guardness from people.
Indeed it would be more difficult then for me to collect the infor I want, but I'll keep searching the internet and other sources.

Still I hope to get some hints, so I can keep in looking ;-)

Danny,
As we spoke about via PM (and as Jiggers stated), much of the info you are looking for can be found in the current crop of E Company books as well as internet articles, etc. In fact info on 8 of the men you are interested in is readily available. You just have to keep looking.
