You bet! :tinhat12

We know the good-looking Jon Seda is in the new Tom Hanks - Julia Roberts film, in production now.

Wonder what Joseph Mazzello will land?

Martin McCann (Cpl. R. V. Burgin) actually grew up in Belfast. He will portray Bono in an upcoming film.

In a WWI film we've discussed in another thread, My Boy Jack (2007), he stars alongside Daniel Radcliffe.

Yes, I should get My Boy Jack from the library again one of these days.

And Rami Malek was reportedly also cast in the new Tom Hanks - Julia Roberts film. Hanks was Tweeting about it from his account, which I think is @Hanx. Haven't had a chance to look at it.

Watch the First Episode of 'Rubicon' online! Don't know how long it will stay on...

I've watched it and it's not bad...have to get used to seeing JBD in a completely different role though :tinhat20

Rubicon is on a cable channel, AMC. The series will actually start in August.

They will give the series a full run for as many episodes as they ordered for the first season. After they look at the ratings for the first season, they'll decide if they will order a new season for next year. They also have Mad Men and Breaking Bad, two of the best new series in recent years.

It's not like a broadcast network, where a series might be cancelled after only a few episodes if there is a low audience.

Guess I'll have to give Rubicon a try. I have not watched anything regularly (except the news and weather) on network channels since NBC canceled "LIFE". Actually, unless I can find a decent docu, cable movie or something with nature, I don't watch it at all. I'm sure I'm missing some good series, but egads I can't stand those situation comedies. Can't even figure out why we subscribe to the TV Guide. Hubby says I am not normal at all, but then he's been saying that for years!

Oh, I agree with you about those situation comedies and much of network fare. If you're venturing into AMC territory, do check out Mad Men as well, although they are about to start season 4.

I saw the first episode of Rubicon, but my first reaction was that it was a little too fast-paced for the hour, and quite frankly too much like work and the daily DC intrigue. Probably good for fans of 24, college students who are not terribly challenged by their summer job and need something to think through, etc.

If you haven't seen Foyle's War on PBS Masterpiece, the entire series is available for rental on DVD. Since the DVDs are in widescreen, the English countryside and coast is beautifully filmed. It's in the tradition of Miss Marple, Midsommer Murders, Poirot, etc., except with a WWII tie-in.

And since I'm a bit off-topic, I thought James Badge Dale did a credible job in the Rubicon lead. They could, however, have skipped the references to "Lucky" in his opening scene. (Yeah, yeah, we get it and we know who he is. And the reference will be lost on the 20-something city kids who would not watch The Pacific due to their politics.)

I was really sorry to see "Life" go away but was very happy when "Southland" got picked up by TNT. It's probably my favorite show on TV, along with "Caprica" and "Deadliest Catch."

Keith Nobbs, aka Runner, will be appearing on Broadway in the fall in the new production "Lombardi," a play about the outstanding football coach Vince Lombardi (actor Dan Lauria).

Previews begin Sept. 23 at Circle on the Square.

It IS a bit strange. . . well, who knows what publicists advise them to do! Still, when you have some really big names doing Twitter and Facebook, you would think he would want to keep his. Maybe he's getting a website or fansite.

And I just checked - www.jmfanclub.com has an announcement - Official Fansite "New Website Coming"
